Fools Square, 2011
Fools Square
Karriere Bar, Copenhagen, 2011
Fools Square, consisted of six lamps, integrated in the “Franz Ackermann corner” of the Bar, a pink wallpainting with sharp abstract forms. The six lamps was replacing large scaled shiny metal lamps of Olafur Eliasson.
Each one of the Six lamps was half covered in patchwork, small cut up pieces of fabric sewed together, now half covering the bulb. Fools Square was a comment on the alienation of carrier, perfection and social expectations in combination with the actual space of Karriere Bar, that was now a social meeting point but also a former butchers abattoir.
